Once we receive mangoes, does it require any special care in the home environment?
Yes it does. To withstand transportation time, multiple courier handling points and heat, we make sure we pack raw/semi ripped mangoes so that they reach the party in the right condition, which means mangoes may still be raw and greenish while there are received, and thus you might want to read the following tips:
Do not cut the mangoes as soon as you receive them, please let them ripen, turn little yellowish and softer with a sweet smell. If you cut them before time, they will taste sour.
Do not refrigerate the mangoes, keep them within the grass at a room temperature and do not keep them in an AC room
Ø By using the best practices and taking all measures possible we deliver the best quality fruit to you
Ø Kilimooku mangoes with all its delightful looks is a very sensitive fruit.
Ø They are susceptible to damage from overheating and lack of ventilation. This could happen while in transit during which the conditions are out of our control. Over-ripening of the mangoes can also occur sometimes due to unfavorable conditions.
Ø Despite that since it’s a perishable produce and due to factors beyond our control you might have received a spoilt fruit. We are aware of such situations arising and stand by them completely.
Ø Once the order is placed, the mango boxes will be dispatched at the earliest possible date subject to availability.
Ø Fruit weight is always measured at harvest and grading is done at that time. By the time you receive the mangoes, 15 to 20% weight loss can occur due to moisture loss while ripening.
Ø There might be slight variations in color, size, and taste over the season of the vegetable since the characteristics of the vegetable can change with the weather.
